NC Eider

Had to bump around quite a bit today, but we finished up with one shy of our 18 bird limit today. But the icing on the cake was this beaut and likely a once in a lifetime trophy for NC. She came in with another hen and I shot this one and we missed the other. Each of us in the boat had shot eiders before in New England, we all "knew" what it was, but didn't want to say it until we put our hands on it.

Incredible day with great friends, won't soon be forgotten.

Wow that's just awesome! I've heard of them shot here before and you just confirmed it. Thanks for sharing

Very Nice! a friend of a friend shot an immature drake last year. Certainly a rare fine around here. about like the long tails. Congrats!
Springing Flying Fish are good practice in the off season
