Yes indeed it is. Right before the split runs out too! Perfect timing.

We actually couldn't ask for anything better than this.

It is a scaled down (OK, way down) version of Sandy last year. When this violent wx hits the NorthEast in the next 2-3 days and we are having a bit of wind but relatively mild temps here, there is going to be a major movement of ducks our way.

My bet is that we'll all be busting them wide open by Friday, and definitely on Saturday.

Then, for two weeks, they are going to sit and relax-----and not leave. They'll get fat on all that corn those other guys have been putting out for the first split. ;)

On 14 December they'll be so thick we can walk across their backs.

Or something like this.......

Sounds like you've got em figured out!

Hope you're right. From what I saw today, the front that passed through last weekend pushed more birds out than in. Still a few around today though.

Looking at the 10 day for my selected bell-weather spots north of us: Annaplois (Chesapeake Bay), Cape May (Delaware Bay), and Erie, PA (Lake Erie). I like what I see: 11th and 12th has lows in the low 20's, with 10+ winds and an increasing chance of precipitation (40% now, was 20% two days ago). Here in NC we'll have lows in the mid-40's on the coast.

somebody oughtta pay me for this......

Yes. We're not looking at last year, but considering it is 4 Dec and I have seen a decent number of ducks for 3+ weeks, I think we have a chance for a well-above-average last split.

Last year was an aberration.......once in 20 years. But this year (so far) is well ahead 2006 through 2011.

Gotta believe this blizzard moving across the midwest and headingto the NEast is nothing but good for us.

We probably have more big ducks than this time last year. Hope the warm up does not cause them to leave.
