Crane Decoys

Postby capt. tom » Tue Aug 16, 2011 11:46 pm

First of this is my first post and want to say y'all have a great site here.

I will be heading out to ND for the first two weeks of the season just like the pat 10 years. I bought two houses out there when I worked for delta and absolutely love y'alls state.

I have pass shot cranes in the past and was wanting to maybe target them a little more this year. I am hoping to get some suggestions from you guys on making some decoys.

Obviously we don't have a ton of room so I was kind of leaning towards silhouettes. Any suggestions? How many do I need? Will silhouettes even work?

I've just used Sillosock cranes - work slick. I like to have wind when hunting cranes. Put the spread 100 yards upwind in the field and hide in a field row.
