Some buddies and I are planning on coming up to ND this fall (Oct. 20th or so) and try our luck at waterfowl hunting. Most of us are all pretty serious waterfowlers here in Missouri, but have never visited your state. I know I am looking forward to seeing the Missouri Couteau and hopefully getting to experience some field hunting. In my part of Missouri, I usually get water hunting, but last fall got into a little field hunting and had a blast. I'm hoping to get to experience that this fall in ND. Anyway...we all don't really know what we are doing and what to expect, but we all have high hopes and are exited about coming up. We have been doing quite a bit of internet research on ND waterfowl hunting for NR's and I think we have enough info to at least have fun. I just wanted to let you guys on this forum know, that although I have not been active in asking for information, I have been lurking for a few months and reading posts and I am VERY appreciative of the ND guys' willingness to help out with info to out-of-staters. You don't find that willingness everywhere (including here in the state of MO.) If any of you ever do find your way to MO, and need some info/help on waterfowl opportunities here, just drop me a line...I would be happy to help you how I can and try to return the hospitality.

Again I'm looking forward to coming up and hopefully we'll bump into a few of you guys.

You will have a great time up here. ifyou have any questions on your field set up let me know and I will give some basics. Been hunting fields for 30 plus years...its not hard but knowing some things can make yoru hunting far more productive and thus fun. My crew has no problem with out of state guys as long as they treat our state like theirs and other hunters like we do...respectfully. Good luck have fun
