Wildlife authorities and law enforcement are investigating the shooting of a deer hunter northwest of Minot
The incident initially was reported as a man being shot while driving down the highway. Alan Howard, a game warden with the state Game and Fish Department, says the man actually was sitting in a car near Forfar while deer hunting yesterday afternoon
Howard says the man might have been shot by a member of his own hunting party. The man tried to drive himself to a Minot hospital, and was met by an ambulance on the highway
The man has not been identified. Howard says he was not severely injured
There was also another hunter shooting incident near Fargo.
