Decoy dilemma

Postby quackpipe » Mon Nov 19, 2007 8:01 pm

I am travelling with my girlfriend to her hometown in Devils Lake tomorrow for a week. She doesnt understand why I want to bring so many decoys. So if you guys were going to have to trim to a minimal amount of decoys, what would you bring to hunt this time of year. We are in a 4 runner with a roof top carrier and a hitch and haul and 3 dogs. Should I just bring my field dekes or will there be some open water. Any recent reports for the dl area?

Oh man, sorry I didn't see this sooner. Field deeks, but there isn't much around anymore. Most ponds are froze over.

Supposed to be 5-10 degrees for a low on Tuesday which should finish the rest of what is here.
Hunt to live, live to hunt

If you can't ski with the big dogs, stay on the dock.
