Went out this morning and shot 19 coot and 1 goose. In the Second picture with the birds is my 10 month old lab Hershey. She did a great job and I was so proud of her. She had to chase down 4 of them. I guess all of the hours force fetching have started to pay off. first pic is of our 9-24-09 hunt. Saw 30 or so woodies and over 100 geese. only had 2 geese in shooting distance. star did a great job. The woodies on the other hand weren't playing any games this day. They were flying fast and furious riding a 20 mph tailwind. I think i wasted 20 some dollars in shell.....lol..... That my friends is why its called hunting and not killing.

congrats on the great hunt. There sure are a ton of wood ducks around, for now anyway. wish other ducks were as numerous as them.

What part of Mississippi? I lived in Brandon, MS for about 10 years as a kid.

Congrats on a great hunt with your new pup.

Chance, My family is from the morgantown area back some dirt road near the pearl river. Can't beat the catfishing with the old electric phone and chain......lol..... plus the gators waiting on the bank for the dead chickens from the fights.
