Scoters In NW Ohio

Postby ISHOOTDIVERS » Mon Oct 31, 2005 8:50 pm

Guys this is my 13th season of waterfowling in Ohio, last year I shot my first scoter ever and it was right here on my home turf pretty rare but I hear of a couple a year, then later in the year I shot another.Well this year already last week my buddies shot 3 while layout gunning in 2 days then my first hunt at home from being back from Canada I shot one on Sunday from the layout. The 2 I shot last year were white winged hens or real juvenile drakes, but had the white wing bars, the ones from this year have all been commons or sometimes called blacks.Just thought this was pretty cool and others might care to know
