its over for me. im a north zone resident and its quite a trek for me to drive to the south zone as i am on the border of lake and geauga counties. it was a good year and the first year back into the game for me in about 5 or 6 years. i have to thank my wife for convincing me to buy my permits and get back into it.

hope everybody else had as good of a season as i did.

See, wives are good for something :lol3:

Still trying to bust them up down in the SW corner. I only got one today thanks to a gun jam, but it is better than zero, which I have gotten plenty of times before!

I'm a north zoner as well but hunt in the south a lot.The water I hunt down there is as hard as the river behind my house, don't feel left out.
Life is to short to hunt with a ugly gun.

Yeah, I am just about out of spots, everything is frozen solid. I will be hitting a little river in the morning I think. One last desperate attempt before I head back out to school.

We're cursed here I tell ya. :help: The worst part about Ohio waterfowling is you need to get 4x the permissions that you could ever possibly hunt just to cover the whacked-out weather scenarios in a given season.

Good luck tomoroow Bo-Tits. :lol3:

I'll let you know how I do but I have a sinking feeling it will be frozen where I am going. It is a pool where the river backs up around a bend and the water flows pretty slow, I would not be surprised if I find ice in the morning.

Cool. WIth the snow make sure you don't find out the hard way.

Just as I feared, it was iced over. And with the 4-5" of snow we have, I don't have alot of options. Looks like my season is over too.

Bummer. Well...can't shoot no birds sleeping in the bed. I'd say this is about as solid a freeze as we've had in years.
