Looking good this week

Postby bluebilldays » Wed Nov 16, 2005 8:47 am

Man we are finally going to get some weather that we've been looking for. This should bring some new birds and my favorite, the divers. Only bad thing is that I head for Maryland thursday night. Figures, I leave and the weather finally gives me the motivation to hit the big water. Oh well. I hope that everyone has some great gunning this week and let me know how ya'll do. Will feed you in on my hunting in MD. Will be back next week to join you all in some "fine" Ohio hunting. Good luck.

Keep us posted! The wind and cold should start bringing the divers down to "warmer" temps........ Snow in the forecast the next couple days here. Too bad I'll be working this weekend.

Hunted Mosquito on Thursday..
Heard reports of lot's o mallards..
Well.. there were not....
Took 2 mallards and one greenwing.
Wind was really blowing from the WSW.
I think the ducks that are there were staying put..
Left about 11am..
We'll hit it again Sunday.

Need to put some time in the tree stand..

Sunday... Mosquito... Sunny.. Wing SSW 10-15mph..
Typical.. Teal flew at first light.. very few big ducks around flying.
Shooting on the lake was minimal.
I took 1 teal and 1 mallard.
Started seeing little buches of buffleheads..

Tomorrows cold should bring them big ducks down.
Also, report from a friend down Mantua area.. they are seeign some pintails.

More to report after the holiday.
