Wasn't that bad. This was my fourth year hunting ducks an first year to break double digits. Hunting public only I don't get that many great opportunities.

Ha, who does around here? If you collected double digits on ducks, then your season was nothing to be ashamed of.

I got no digits this year. I took too much time off work to hunt, and got nothing :fingerhead:

18 ducks and 3 geese maybe I shouldn't feel so bad.

:welcome: aboard DHC sc83

We did pretty weel this year then by what you guys are saying but still not even close to what we got the last 2 seasons. We hunt north and south zones though. The south zone was made rough by the constant weather and temp. changes which kept the birds feeding habits changing in my area and hard to get in the right place at the right time.I don't have the exact number on hand as they are on a white board in a friends garage where we clean the birds but last track I had was 127 ducks , 57 geese and 9 merganzers between the 4 of use

Holy crap OW, are you sure you are hunting in Ohio? :lol3:

If that was not even close to how your last two season went, then you should have your own show!

My group killed 51 geese this year. and a few bonus ducks. We usually hunt the early season hard for the first 2 weeks and then its dead. The geese move into big waters and out of the small marshes. Duck hunting in Ohio has been horrible. Ten years ago where I hunt we had a huge migration of wood ducks and teal come through from the north and it was amazing. After that year it has been horrible for ducks. My late season was good. I have an area where the water never freezes and it was jammed packed full of geese. Hunted surrounding snow covered fields late mornings and evenings was awesome.Took an hour to set up and 15 mins to limit out. (2 was the limit :fingerhead: ) As far as im concerned Ohio's waterfowl has been declining dramatically.
