Exactly, I don't know. Shawn is scouting a long run of river for us. I'm not from there, and don't have a map, but as I understand, there is a long section of the Ohio where it borders 3 states. Depending on where the birds are the week before, Shawn will make an educated guess as where the best place to launch from is. We won't know where to get our license until the week before and know exactly where we'll be going.

I'd like it to be this way, what ever gets us the best odds of scoring birds.

I'm pretty sure that as long as I have a KY license, I can hunt anywhere on the river except the opposite bank... Anyone have any insight on that?

I thought I remember guys telling me you have to have a license from where you launch from. Launch from Erie and hunt the lake with an Ohio, your busted. Hunt the Delaware and launch fro Delaware with a Pa license and show up at the ramp with ducks, your busted.

They might be wrong, I don't know.

In order to get a date, I switched the day to when more people could go, January 28th If Teddysberna is still in, we may have room for 1 more person. I suppose my friend's son is going to have his hunter safety card by then and may be able to go? I don't know the laws, I'm still working on the details.

I sent you a message, teddysberna. Check your PM's.

Fellow waterfowlers you guys might want to do alittle google search on shawn harris southwestern ohio poaching ring before you go signing up for a hunt with him. I know personaly alot of people who have done buisness with him in the past and got screwed, wether it be taxidermy or doing a guided hunt. Some of you fellas are wondering what licenses to buy? I guarantee you it will not be a ohio licenses. Shawns hunting privileges are taking away for life in the state of ohio! Just wanted to inform you guys before you have dealings with him. Also a diver hunt on the ohio river???? What a joke!!!

If he banned from Ohio, he is banned in 38 states, including every bordering state of Ohio.

Sorry guys not trying to start a argument when I said diver hunting on the Ohio river what a joke. Ive been hunting that stretch of river for 25yrs.Up to about 10yrs ago a guy could go out and shoot some divers, not much anymore. The south western part of IN holds alot more ducks then the southeastern part. I just cant see paying money for a diver hunt and only see 20 divers on a good day. Thats why there is no one other then Shawn... trying to guide hunts in this part of the state. Theres not enough birds to do so and give guys there moneys worth out of a days hunt. Also Shawn did get his hunting licenses revoked for life in Ohio and cannot do taxidermy in Ohio either ever again. Hes a bad apple guys just trust me on this one...

Where to start.

I had no idea about anything that Shot caller has brought up. We have mutual friends and I've been BSing with him for a few months and we've become friends. He is involved with a call making company whom I'm friends with the owner. I went on my trusted friend's word.

You only signed up here to talk garbage on a guide service, which isn't allowed and is a bad start for somebody with 2 posts. If those possibly slanderous statements are removed, don't be surprised. It's not to protect Shawn, its to stop a blatant violation of the Terms and Conditions of this site, which you obviously skipped reading.

I can say this, for a month out of the year, I could guide near my house on the rinky dink Allegheny or Ohio river. I don't put any faith in people telling me there are no birds places. Funny, when I scout, I always find birds in places my friends tell me is a waste of time and hold no ducks.

What I'm getting at is I don't know you, you might not have a clue what your talking about and I have no reason to not believe your not somebody with a direct problem with Shawn, even though you say you've never hunted with him.

If he's been banned for life, would that include Indiana as well? He's posting up pics on facebook of dead geese and had a booth at the Waterfowler's bootcamp and raffled off a free hunt.

Did they not do their research too? The state of Indiana who issued his license and the WBC?

I'll get to the bottom of it.

Shot caller, I don't know how thin of ice your on, I don't make those calls, this isn't my forum. I mod Pa, Big Game and Gun Repairs. I don't mod the 'duck guide research forum'.

I'll find out what the story is.

And as far as ignoring PM's goes, I don't. I was having issue for a few weeks receiving them. I had a deal from the classifieds fall through because I didn't get a PM containing an address.

I don't ignore PM's.

My job isn't to be an all knowing super duck hunter versed in every law in every state. I'm a glorified study hall monitor. My job is to stop violations of the T's and C's, not know about every possible event in everybody's hunting history.

You should hold your tongue a bit, seems you don't have a clue either.
