Caesar Creek Questions

Postby t_baker » Tue Jan 17, 2012 6:56 pm

Since the season closed a couple weeks ago here in the North Zone me and a couple friends thought bout trying Caesar Creek for the last 2 weekends in the Southern Zone. We are gonna head down late this week and do some scouting and check the lake out but was wondering if anyone could throw us in a decient spot to set-up or give us some tips for the lake. I spoke with the ODNR officer Rick Rogers today and he gave me a few places to check-out. He also told me that it gets pretty packed down there on the weekends and best to set-up around mid-night and sleep till shootin hour. What kind of numbers you guys seeing down there and what all are you shooting? We seemed to clean the year up on mallards and geese up here on Indian Lake and wouldnt mind killing something different. Probably just be me and 1 maybe 2 other guys and my dog. Not expecting to limit out, just kill a few birds and have a good time at a new spot.

Yeah, I did forget about those things. Did see a blue heron out there today.

well i guess i apreciate all the help i got here. as much as i would have hated wasting a day hunting here in the north zone sounds like i should have went and got my questions answered by myself. i will be leaving tomorrow morning and spending the day at the lake doing some scouting, as i had stated in my original post that i would be doing. once again thanks for your help and hope everyone has a enjoyable rest of the season.
