Since Botiz asked, I don't want to hijack a thread.
I just got back from slaying reds on the Kenai River. Runs were producing huge numbers close to last years records. We had no problem getting limits!
We stayed/fished just outside Soldotna, AK, far enough from the true "combat fishing" of the Russian River.
Also hiked to some lakes too to throw flies, no trout were caught but we did work on the grayling. My brother and dad have all the grayling pics. (Dads still up there....)
