Cyber Scouting

Postby HNTFSH » Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:04 pm

Since I'm on an overall soapbox... :lol3: ...anyone ever notice the high Read Count on posts about success and places versus the low associated Post count?

Unfortunately you can't judge by the Member stats how many lurkers/posters per Ohio but seems out of balance on 'interest'.

Edited to say - I love seeing pics of my Ohio brothers being successful. I know in most cases it was definitely earned!!

I will be sure to posts pics of my hunts (without spot burning) as soon as I can get out there and the season opens back up of course. Some people simply dont like to pos.t Cyber scouting helped me zero in a few places. .So It does save time and money (gas). Did hours and hours of physical scouting so far to go along with my hunting plans this season allready. your post count is outstanding for joining in 2006 haha. i been on some other forums for other hobbies of mine as long i can remember (2001ish) and my post counts are not even added up as much as yours lol.

Well by post account of course I meant read count on locations/success people post. I have come up with a few ideas cyber reading too...I just don't ask. Some people talk a lot and that's my point - if you post or direct on the worldwide web - expect additional company.

There's lots of 'new waterfowlers' here - more power to them and I'll help in most ways except working to figure out where they might be successful. My gas costs the same theirs does. I got a lot of years and sacrifice in mine - as do others.

My post count per day isn't nearly as high as many in the HH. 95% of mine are dog forum.

I've pointed out the same thing a few times on here. For whatever reason, the viewed to posted ratio is more out of whack in the OH forum than elsewhere on the site.
