Blind drawings

Postby dale&missmollie » Mon Jul 08, 2013 10:34 pm

When are the state park blind drawings being held this year?

Are there any blinds on Grand Lake or Indian Lake that a person could reach without a boat?

Thanks

August 17th.

Not sure about St. Marys but can help some with Indian Lake.

If memory serves me there is a blind over by Old Field Beach that is accesable by land. And possibly one more over by Moundwood. I think #4 you can get to by land, if not land, waders. However, #4 is one of the first to be chosen.

Hopefully Ohio Mike pops in to help me out.

I think Grand lake is dailyblinds that you apply for on the ODNR site. Cost 3 bucks.

Thank God it's the 17th since my brother gets married on the 18th
.
If you see the ammo in my avatar on sale anywhere, please let me know, thanks.

There's one at Oldfield, one by Cherokee towards the campground, one on the bank between Lake View and Russels Point , And one on the point north of Moundwood. That may be #4.

I was laying in bed last night and remembered the one there by Lakeview/Russels Point. Forgot about the one at Cherokee. And yes, Moundwood is #4

I guess before we go much farther, gotta remember those are some deeper parts of the shallow lake. May still need a canoe or something similar.

Get with me at the drawing if your going Mike. If we get one I would like to get you in it this season.

I found it online - just searched Indian Lake Duck Blinds and it was downloadable. The blind I was referring to is the one OhioMike mentioned that's between Lakeview and Russels Point. I think my daughter and I will make the trip down there for the blind drawing. What time? I was thinking I read 9 but not positive?

Drawing has always been at 8 but they usually start early. I get there at 7 so I can park close. I can drink coffee and eat donuts there as well as anywhere. It's fun to watch the crowd build and you can watch for folks you know.

I can not find a Deer Creek blind map online.

It's not my first choice of places to hunt, but by location it's the best for time of travel.

Same here, we usually take off around 630, get there before 7. I want to say they started a little late last year which is unusual.

Dale, make sure to get that little girl of yours a license. Its one more name in the bucket for ya.

Anyone have info on Grand River drawings?

Or have a link to the press release? God ODNR's site is terrible for finding information.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in.
