Anybody been there since the draws opened up? How are the crowds. I will be there saturday, just wondering.

Well I can tell you you will most likely be breaking a little ice, from what I have heard crowds haven't been bad, everyone is getting to hunt and not crowded. As for birds nothing to spectacular.Even though we are supposed to warm up a touch I have a feelings tomorrow is going to pretty much do it in for the marshes

:salude: thanks for the info! We have done well in there before even after a bit of ice. As long as it stays at an inch and a half or less, we will give it a shot. The boat doesn't have any problems, and with the warm-up for Saturday, once we open a hole, it should stay open. I would think the big water areas (9, 14-18) should be open anyway, with any kind of wind.

I drove through Magee today when checking on a field I have across from Ottawa, there are patches of open water for sure, all the ducks are holding in the ponds to the west as you pull in the main drive though, out towards the lake everything is iced over with a few blinds remaining open, might have better luck when you get draw to try an Ottawa blind :umm:
