Have seen a lot of duck and geese need a gun that shoot about 1/2 mile to get them down not responding to anything. We did get 6 duck 1 goose Tuesday. there was a lot of ice very hard to get through found open water set up was a good hunt for us. Did put in a Shawnee had 1 1/2 of ice at the ramp 3/4 to 1 1/4 up river and down we went down river found open water. It should be all gone by Fri wish i was going going to the dog track in SC. with in-laws  make my marriage work. 3 day worth. River is on the rise might get into corn fields . good luck i'm taking my computer let me know what i missed. Thanks ChuckImage

HUnted this morning for an hour and shot 4, three mallards and one gadwall. Scouted this evening and one of the fields I have permission for is holding about 300 geese. Plan on hitting them tomorrow morning.

We shot a 3 man limit of geese this morning. Birds flying hard from 10-11. Thought about going back out tomorrow but all my buds have to work and I can't justify doing all that work for 2 geese.

New To The SIte

Postby CUT'EM'ALL » Tue Jan 06, 2009 3:00 am

New to the site, me and my good buddy are pretty die hard. We hit it hard in S.W. Ohio every year. We both work third shift so we get out alot. This year has been pretty good to us. Lol, if you guys think Shawnee is bad for to many people and guys settin up right on top of ya, you should try B street in Hamilton its the worst ive ever seen. We dont even consider goin there anymore. Good hearin from fellow DUCKMEN.

Yea only above the dam, and of course every goose in the area goes south in the city.
We hunted today in a spot we scouted the other day and saw a lot of birds. We only saw 4 today! Don't know if te weather played a part in that or what? I always thought the nastier the weather the better? Who knows? Only 12 days left, gotta get out everyday! Good luck.

Lone Goose!!

Postby CUT'EM'ALL » Thu Jan 08, 2009 9:11 am

Worked last night but got out this morning for a few hours. Saw a lot moving but were high and set on where they were going. We were pickin up the gear and climbing up out of the blind and heard a honker. Flew right in front of the blind and got dropped. Gonna do some drifting later. Hows everybody else doing?
