Your pretty close to me since I'm in Newalla. I've only lived in this part of the state for 3 years (I'm originally from east of Tulsa). Seems to me finding a place to duck hunt is much more of challenge here in the mid part of the state than on the east side.
I'd like to find someone to hunt with eventually, since all my hunting buddies are back east.
You're not kidding about it being tough to find a place to hunt around here. It's the same way for deer hunting too. Part of the problem is that it's so close to OKC. Also, it's very populated around here too.
The closest WMA to this part of the state is Lexington. It's got a small lake and several ponds on it. I don't know what they look like now, but over the summer the lake was about dried up. Right now, I'm hunting on the N. Canadian river. It hasn't been real productive yet. Around here, you're mainly going to have to hit the ponds, rivers, or some of the municipal lakes. We'll have to talk about getting together for some hunting sometime.
