Texas rigging line

Postby LiquidA45 » Sat Oct 12, 2013 2:55 pm

Anyone know where to get some tangle free line around Tulsa? The pvc decoy line at bps is too thick for my 5oz egg weights, need something with a smaller diameter.

I use 400 lb mono. Any heavy mono could be used. I don't know the price difference. Don't know what bass pro would have on hand.

Just curious, would 80lb. mono be thick enough to do the job?
Never hire a plumber to do a pipe layers job.

I would think it would be. Just don't know what the memory and kink resistance would be.

Maybe you could make the holes in your weights a bit larger?

I don't really want to drill out 125 weights and wanted mono, I think the pvc line is junk. Going to have to order it. Found a website that has 200 48" pre cut lines for $10

http://snlcorp.com/SNL/Other/DuckDecoyKit.aspx

there ya'll go, unless I am missing something that is pretty darn cheap. There is also a guy on craigslist that sells weights for about .50 each and does a 10% discount if you get more than 100. Including shipping it'll cost about $6.72 to texas rig a dozen decoys. compare that to the $25 a dozen they in stores.
