Yeah i've been with 3 guys most of time when we've been hunting this year and last week we probably shot 36 mallards they were thick but yesterday we went out and only saw shovelers I dont know what was up.

That is all we are getting now is mallards. That has kept us from getting our 6 bird limit the past weekend.... just no teal or gads around....

I have a slough just west of Braggs 1/2 mile from the refugee... I also hunt on the river a bit....

Bruno... if you don't mind me asking... Where in the hell did you get that many ducks at??? How many guys go with you? Got any pics??

I thought we were doing great getting 11 mallards Monday.. we stopped at 10 but found a wounded hen as we were walking out in the middle of the field... AND... I got my first band of the year... a mallard drake had 2 bands, but the $100 reward had already expired...

Saturday we got 3 mallards and 4 GWT on the river between 3 of us...

Bruno.. my spot is the same way... we own 75% of our slough... and the other we have exclusive rights to.... plus you have to cross our 20 acre alfalfa field to get to it.... the only thing about our slough is you can overhunt it very easy... the first day is great... the second is okay... the third... you might get your limit.... don't even bother with the fourth day in a row...

ya we hunted this place 11 days in a row and finally yesterday on the 11 day we didnt shoot a limit we only shot 14 but we did shoot 3 pintails 2 bulls and one hen but the only reason we did so well for so long is evgerything was froze up execpt the river so that is were the ducks had to go the had no other place but no that everything is thawing out they are leaving

My blind is at the very south end of the islands.. it would be the first point upstream from Arrowhead point....

yes we have a boat. but just a small one.. nothing you would want to cross the river in high winds...

ya we will have to meet next year a the blind drawing i always put my boat in on a ramp kinda by wagoner then drive uptheir by boat but ya we had one that point and then we had one right across from star lake in some of those sloughs...that is were we killed most of our birds this year but that blind that we have on the river would have been good when everythign froze up you know
