Swans

Postby LiquidA45 » Thu May 08, 2014 10:28 am

Does anyone see many in NEOK? I had never seen any wild until this January at a WDU. We we picking up decoys when all of a sudden two swans landed in the water about 25yrds away. Then this morning driving to work I see one fly Northbound across I-44 about 40 yards in the air.

There was a pair hanging around Jackson lake in mounds for about a month. I used to have pictures until my phone took a swim.

A few years ago there was a pair that frequented one of my spots in Washington county for a month or so.

I am not sure if you can legally shoot a swan in OK. I see them from time to time, most recently in Osage and McCurtain counties.

Awesome birds for sure still haven't seen any in Oklahoma but they were bombing into our spring snow goose spread in New York we could'nt of kept them out if we tried.
