New Boat

Postby DuckZapper160 » Thu Jul 10, 2014 10:31 am

Well after hunting out of my 14' Lowe for over 15 years I've decided to upgrade. My 14 footer has served me well most of the time and I have killed a ton of ducks out of it, however I'm limited on several fronts as to what i can do with it. Soooooo... I Placed my order this week for a brand new Gator Tail GTB1860 Extreme Hull with a GTR35 surface drive, pick it up Oct 24th. :grooving: Going to be a long 3 1/2 months! If you're in the market for a boat keep an eye on the classifieds as my old boat may end up on there.

You will love an 18 footer, it'll allow you to hunt the vast majority of weather conditions.

My hunting buddy ordered a 2472 SeaArk from a dealer in PA but apparently they don't want to sell it to him...so he made them send his check back and he's getting a 2472CUB from a dealer in Wagoner within the next few days. We're putting a blind on it just like the 1860, gonna be massive.

Congrats in the new boats guys.

I'm ordering my SOBADS next week, going to pair it with an SPS longtail on my 6hp Briggs motor.

Yea jumping from a 14 footer to an 18 footer will sure be nice. Having the extra width will be great to. Just gonna be nice not having to worry about jacking up an outboard. I was pretty rough on my old boat and paid the price a couple times..

Been looking hard at the SPS kit and am checking w/Harbor Freight here in BA to see what kind of engines they havr in stock. Would go on the Osage Duck Canoe.

I've heard a lot of good things from those motors. If I didn't have that Briggs and 2 other Honda motors lying around, I probably would be getting a predator.
