Tillamook Bay in September?

Postby Mean Gene » Fri Sep 06, 2013 9:50 pm

The wife and I are looking at traveling next year and may end up in Tillamook in September. Can anyone give me some general information on the fishing/crabbing possibilities there during that time? Thanks.

Yes on both but, it may not be the best time.
Chinook are only just getting started in the Tillamook area at that time.
Do you have an idea what part of the month you'll be coming up?
It could make all the difference in the world for fall chinook if you were there last week of September versus first week.
Also, the bandtail pigeon season opens for one week each season on the 15th of September and there are plenty of grouse opportunities too. Don't knpow how your Mrs feels about that though.
Are you planning on DIY or guided?
