Sauvie Island Hunting

Postby downhilltilt24 » Tue Oct 22, 2013 1:41 pm

Hey this will be my first year hunting Sauvie Island. I've been doing all the necesseary research getting a feel for and am super psyched to start there this saturday. I was wondering if yall had any tips and or want to try and hook up to get a better chip if possible. I'll be going solo most likely west side for lottery style. I look forward to hearing from yall and wish yall the best of luck this season. you can respond and or pm me if you'd like and I'll shoot you my number if you want. I appreciate any advice/tips/offers and of you guys may have. Thanks Again.

East and West sides aren't open this Saturday. North end is though.

The west side will take some learning. I'd love to give you more info but it's so big, and I haven't hunted all of it yet. I would give it a try, the check station staff are very helpful.

I am in the east side reservation line today, for a hunt tomorrow.

Does anybody read the regulations? Just read them. It gives you places to hunt times to hunt and the laws of hunting.

So I hunt the north unit this past friday night, sat morn and evening. got one green wing teal saturday morning. saw enough ducks i could count on two hands. Went out to the east unit this morning with non reservation guys and hammered-em. 6 birds. wayyyy too many pintails. got to pick and choose for a change but it was definitely blowing up this morning.
