I was going to answer your question till I saw your second post. Figure it out on your own and learn some respect.

jon , question for you? do you ever go back through your old post and realize that every damn one of them , YOU are arguing with somebody , every one of them you have stupid ,grumpy remarks , do us a favor and go away , you are not helpful in any way , you stir the pot on everything you say so do us all a favor and sign off , i dont care how old or how young you are ,i dont care how many birds you have killed , but you absolutly have no place to tell me to have respect ,

Some times stirring the pot is just what this forum needs.

I've kayaked on Dexter, can't say I saw anywhere to hunt? There were some resident geese there (it was summer time) so maybe it pulls in some fowl but where to set up? Along the north shore in deep water, out of a boat I guess.

ya ive scouted all around it , it looks like the best area would be close to the dam , didnt see many birds , but i think that would be the best area to start , i have a nice ,full blind duck boat ,seems to be some shallower water on the west side on the dam end of it but still a long ways from the highway

Hey gunner

Since you seem to be scouting similar areas to me, i was wondering if you ever ran the portion of the willamette river which passes Camas Swale landing? Due to the boat-only access i think there might be fairly low hunting pressure there.

Theres a put in at cloverdale road in creswell, and one could take out at mt pisgah arboretum. I dont yet have a boat (but im looking) so i dont know too much. Looks like its worth trying though, and im happy to share my "tip" in the hopes that someone can find success and share stories.

Since my few local duck hunting associates are not that adventurous (those pals are in southern oregon) i would look to embark solo whenever i get a boat. If you are in need of a boat buddy, shoot me a PM and we can see how things look.

And good luck at dexter. If you report good news, i may try to bring the dog down and get her some more shore training.
