Dog hurt

Postby whtelk » Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:27 am

My Lab Gretta got hurt jumping a fence. Somehow she seems to have hurt her shoulder...hard to tell because she won't give a clue if it is ankle, leg or shoulder. My vet had me give her a buffered aspirin and only for 3 days. Man, this sucks for us. I hope she is better Sunday because there are a lot of birds to get. I won't hunt with out her since she gives me 110%.....it would just be wrong.

Be careful with her. Hyperextension injuries take awhile to heal and you may cause more damage hunting her too soon. Your dog is far more tolerant of pain than you or I. Don't risk her being hurt worse in her effort to please you.

I think it's harder on her not to hunt than I.
