Storm front hunt!

Postby FowlOffspring » Sun Jan 12, 2014 9:01 pm

How did everyone do this weekend hunting in the storm? I Had a pretty damn good day minus the 4 foot rollers with white caps on the way out and the 2 foot rollers in the decoys haha But I did manage to do A LOT better than I thought I would with a little added reward. This is the first snow goose that I have gotten the chance to shoot at and the first one I have been lucky enough to take.

Shot six shells. (This year I'm measuring success in shots fired, not birds bagged.)

There you go man. Im kind of trying to do the same thing since I just got my first full time job after graduating last year. Shells are expensive when you dont make much! haha

Think of the savings if I don't go out at all this week!
Shells aren't cheap, but it's the gas that's getting me.

Had a good weekend of shooting. Lots of birds with all the wind. Unfortunately we now have to much water in our area. I hope it get's cold and the water level drops. It should then bring in a lot of birds.
Cut Um!
Real ducks don't have a competition sequence they follow! Hint, hint!
