Hello Members and Friends of Delta Waterfowl.
Its that time of year again, waterfowl season is just a few short weeks away.
This past weekend, Oregon and Washington held Youth Waterfowl Weekends.
From what I’ve heard first hand and read on the forums, there are good numbers
of birds in our area, a lot of kids got birds, and quite a few bagged there first duck.
If you participated in one of these endeavors, thank you for the your contribution to the future
of waterfowling. Don’t forget about the First Duck Pin, this Delta Waterfowl endeavor
is sponsored by Oregon Waterfowl Festival. More information on the First Duck Pin can be
found @
http://www.deltawaterfowl.org/hunting/f ... /index.php

For the adults, now is the time to get the decoys ready, find equipment long
forgotten in the garage or shed, wash the waders, duck coat, and last but not least
buy the waterfowl stamp along with others tags/permits from the respective Departments
of Fish & Wildlife.

The Columbia River Delta(CRD) Waterfowl Chapter is having its first monthly meeting of the
2009-2010 season. We took a short break for the summer months, but now its time to get
back to the business of Delta Waterfowl.
For this meeting, the agenda & meeting location will be as follows.

Agenda:
Oregon Waterfowl Festival 2009
Youth Waterfowl Hunt 2009
Mossy Oak Watefowl Night(scheduled 11/12/2009)
Open Discussion for Anything Delta or Waterfowl related.

Meeting Location:
Time: 6:30 pm 10/02/2009
Location: Elmers Restaurant – Delta Park
9848 N Whitaker Rd
Portland, OR
(503) 289-984

As always this is a family friendly event, feel free to bring the little ones.
Hope to see you there.
