My name is Josh Paradiso from Central NY. I just recently moved to Beaverton, OR and decided i would join this forum so i could potentially meet new hunters on the west coast. Like i said, im new, so i have no hunting partners, no spots, no information on whats good and whats not, as far as areas. Im looking for a helping hand to show me the ropes. Hunting partner would be great, but i would settle for any information in general. Im a pro-staff member for an outfitter back east, and am no dummy to the sport of duck hunting. On average back home we harvest anywhere from 300-400 ducks in the fall. I admire the different species of puddle ducks you guys have here, and how common it is to see them, mostly the pintail. Numbers isnt a huge concern for me, it never has been. Im looking for a guy or guys to show me a good time here in Oregon, because i will be settling here for good. The worst part about picking up and moving so far away, is knowing ive lost all my hunting connections, and information ive obtained over the years. To just get out and harvest a couple birds would make me a happy hunter. Below i have attached some pictures of previous success ive had. I do mostly field hunting in NY. Anywhere from flooded corn, to soybean fields. I stumbled upon the Tualatin Wildlife Area not to long ago and was super impressed by the amount of different species i saw. Its incredible to me mostly because 90 percent of the ducks i shoot in NY are mallards, although we have great success with the divers when the weather cooperates. Yall know how that is! if any of you want to reach out and be a helping hand!
