Weird Concoincidence

Postby 60's hunter » Tue Feb 25, 2014 2:12 pm

Well, I'm here at my desk job, bored as usual, thinkin about huntin.
I've got a pic of myself with my first duck I ever shot on Nehalem Bay in 1969.
I was thinking of printing a copy of the duck stamp from that year to stick with the pic,
and when I looked it up. it was a pair of White Wing Scoters-------the same duck I shot. Funny.

Thats a pretty cool coincidence! My first duck was a woodie the same year the stamp was a woodie.

That's good--------when I was a kid, I had no idea what kind of duck it was, and it was hard to tell from the picture.
So I ended up sending it to Mike Checkett with DU and it turned out to be a very large female. Downed it with a 20 ga. full choke. Didn't know what I was doin-----lucky I didn't drown out there.

Sounds like you better print it out and put a stamp with it.
Cut Um!
Real ducks don't have a competition sequence they follow! Hint, hint!
