word from the check station was that they had an outstanding local hatch of birds. Now if only the fuel prices can come back to earth, we'll plan another trip for halloween weekend.

Hey I just hunted geese over on some farms south of corvallis today, and man there were a lot of birds out there for this early in the season. Really foggy, called em' right out of the fog.

I took JimboPDX and a buddy from work out hunting on the lower river today. what a great time!! got the "newbies" into some birds and they both hunted like Pros. I'll share a blind with Jimbo anytime. He's got the right attitude and the right sense of humor for duck hunting.

13 birds for 3 hunters..a little short of "limits", but i think we all had a fill of good times, good laughs, and great memories!!

looking forward to doing it again.

not a limit, but I'd trade it for a few of my limits. Gotta pick the biggest of the flock. If I wasn't alone someone woulda had some good shots. ;)

goose hunt

Postby gracenjohn » Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:06 pm

It was a long pack back to the jeep

I have officially cleaned the gun for the last time, dried the waders out, and put away all the paraphenallia that has been scattered around the laundry room. This has been a great year.
