Question about waterfowl season and deer season

A great state with a number of waterfowl. This Pennsylvania duck hunting forum is a great place to discuss hunting practices from all over the state.

Question about waterfowl season and deer season

Maybe somebody here knows. Why do they close the goose season during deer season and not ducks? I would think if they closed one of them it would be ducks seeing that you could hunt ducks in a stream running through the woods. That could be pretty dangerous with no orange on. While goose hunting is mainly done on open water or open fields. Just curious.
I'd rather be hunting than talking to you here.

I think it is a safety issue so there arent idiots shooting high powered rifles into flocks of decoys with hunters in layouts. I could really see that happening in my area....
