Decoy Sled

Postby HEYPRATT » Thu Jan 10, 2013 9:43 am

As I solo hunt a lot I was looking into purchasing one of these to help with lugging gear back and forth or to save room when i hunt out of my marsh boat. Anyone with experince? pros/cons?

Best investment I've made in a few years. I have smaller one and a larger.
They drag well over dry land and of course water, with a modest support (pvc pipes) my dog can use the small one to get out of the water, and in several cases, we flip them over for seating ......great deal

I own two. Both large ones. My wife picked me up the one with the decoy bag attached for $65 from cabelas...pretty sure they screwed up the price so she bought it. Its sweet.

One bit of advice when towing it over water. Distribution the weight, don't go fast and don't overload it.

I have one and love it. I used to use it as a lay down blind too (before I bought a real one), just sit in the tub and throw a burlap camo over you...

When I don't have to paddle far, sometimes u hook my sled to the back of my boat and tow extra decoys. I'm going to buy s bigger one so I can fit more decoys.

Biggest drawback? When you hunt with others, they want you to drag their decoys, too.

I drug it back, didn't I? At Pymie?

One thing I would get is a deer drag harness for it. Give you a hand back to use for other stuff..
