Daryl Metcalfe told us on Facebook he was going forward with this before he even made a statement. Daryl is an awesome, awesome guy. HB 357 is going to have resistance from Philly, but Pittsburgh is a toss up or gun leaning with this type of issue. I'd say this is a done deal. It's political suicide outside of metro philly to go against this.

Daryl's tackling more than just this, he's a strong conservative on all fronts. I don't post this kind of stuff here, I've gotten a minimal response when i post anything legislative asking for people to contact their state reps, so I stopped.

thanks for the background Don, maybe this will get traction because of the importance of the issue.

The Philly-ites don't care because they think laws don't apply to them anyway.

357 is running into problems with pro gun reps. They're forgetting that we have rights as a state and they're worried about the fed overturning or overridding the law.

If you haven't called your rep, now is the time. Tell them to grow a spine and stand up for and defend our state constitution. Not only can the Fed's not infringe on our rights, our state can not either. By going along with a ban, they're violating our constitution.

Any progress on this to date? It's been over a month & I've neither seen nor heard anything about this (thank God 4 DHC). Nothing even on the Tea Party site.

One problem I saw w/ the bill - getting AG Kathleen Kain 2 enforce it. A committed lib Democrat who's starting to fight multi state pistol permits isn't going to fight her fed comrades when they come.
I'm the guy your Mother Goose warned you about.
