New truck or beater and a car

Postby HEYPRATT » Tue Feb 19, 2013 11:26 am

I recently totaled my truck ( 05 Nissan Titan ) on an icy route 79. I now have been forced to look for a replacement vehicle. I found that Truck prices have dramatically gone up since I purchused my Titan in 2007 and it appears to be pretty difficult to find any truck under 20K that has less than 75K of miles on it. On the other hand I have found some pretty attractive cars reasonably priced.

Dilema:
Do I buy a truck with higher mileage and pay the going rate?
Or
Do I buy a car and a beater truck for hunting/ fishing / and yard work ?

If u have kids get the good safe reliable truck. If no kids. Save the money by not having that payment every month and get your self a cheap 3 or 4 grand truck make sure it's a Chevy

Go for the truck. You don't want to be sitting along the road during hunting season.

I just bought a 07 tundra limited with 50,000 milesfor $20,000.Yes a $48,000 truck new and looks new inside and out. You can't make the dang thing slide in snow or ice with the traction control. Not even fun to drive in slippy conditions.

I thought only Yinzers said 'slippy' lol! Yinz using gumbans and N@?

I destroy vehicles. Give me a new truck, I'd ruin it. Not to mention I'm about 12 years of child support away from a new truck.
