To the guys who came out, thank you. Our night was judged by everyone as a huge success. The food, the crowd, the prizes, everybody and everything was fantastic. We had other chairman and members of the Lancaster chapter there and they were impressed. From the cookies to the calls, everything was a hit.

Again, thank you guys so much. We'll be doing it again next year for sure. No doubts.

This time, it won't be on St. Patty's day.

Hey Don, just want to say you guys did one heck of a job putting that banquet together. In my opinion you had an excellent spread of raffle/auction items and you picked a great venue to host it at. I've been to other Delta banquets outside of PA that were hosted by well established chapters and they weren't nearly as nice as the banquet you guys had, so thank you for all the hard work you guys put in to make that possible. Definitely looking forward to next year's banquet!

It's funny. You get a box truck full of stuff sent to you from Delta, packages shipped in from sponsors and you can't help but set your sights on something so small, lol. Being commitee, we made it policy to not participate in any raffles and only bid on live auction and silent auction items. Luck wasn't sending us home with anything, just opening our wallets.. I like that policy, it just so happens to me my idea, lol. I wanted that call pretty badly. Some of the guys here went home with some cool stuff and we had enough that many different people eached walked away with something.

On a side note, that RTGC box turkey call was also on my want list. That went to a bucket raffle and was off limits. That rosewood was beautiful.

Thanks for the kind words, thanks for the sponsorship, thanks for the volunteers who are willing to help out next time. We had the pleasure of hosting Matt, Shawn and other members of the Lancaster chapter at our banquet. Not only did they hustle bands and cups of tickets, they offered advice and insight in the weeks leading up to the event.

If any of you guys want to get in on the class act that is the Lancaster Chapter of Delta Waterfowl, I can't say enough about them. The whole group were stand up guys with their hearts in the right place.

We have some other events in the works for the summer, potentially including a wounded warriors benefit shoot. Stay tuned here and on Facebook for the announcements.
