Been going through some duck depression, sweet pics fellas. Don, I enjoyed your band shots, glad Vince got a band, sounds like he was due for one! One of my favorite moments this year was our buddy who just started hunting ducks, getting him his first band.
A morning with my buddies in NJ was a fun trip as well.
The last two duck pics are from out at school at Penn State. Just started duck hunting 1 year ago so still very new and inexperienced. Just couldn't locate ducks this year with limited time I had to scout and hunt, not to mention I was pretty much winging it. The first 2 pics of geese are from back home (Allentown Area). We do very well back home especially later in the season. Tried a little goose hunting this year at school but couldn't find anyone who was interested in going and it's no fun hunting by yourself. Got permission to hunt 1 field and turned down on a bunch more. Hunted the field 2 times but just wasn't where geese wanted to be. I picked up 5 dozen silo's this year so hopefully I can get some permission to walk in field's and hunt. Although goose number's are no where near back home, I still love getting out and taking a break from school : )
By the way if anyone wants to get together for a hunt PM me. I'd be pumped for someone to join me. As far as geese goes, I've got 6 dozen decoys, and pair of layouts. I'll be doing a lot more scouting this year so I should have at least one decent spot. As far as duck, well like I said I'm only a beginner so I only have 6 mallards and 6 blacks.
I don't duck hunt near as much as you guys, but I do love to crush some honkers.
