Dr^ke not as of yet.. It won't be a student run chapter, anyone is welcome, we will plan a location a date closer to the end of the month, when more students are back. Should be a great thing.

I'll be a senior this fall and putting in a super senior semester next fall. For you college guys, where do you keep and transport your decoys. I mainly hunt geese and back home we run 5-7 dozen full bodies. There is no way in hell I can fit them into my vehicle or store them in my apartment. I'm thinking about getting some silhouettes for this yr.

Dr^ke, we just found an apartment with big closets.. We keep a fair share of decoys spread all throughout the apartment, it's a blessing living with duck hunters haha. But heading into my super senior year as well, not ready to graduate anyway.

I was probably going to try those silo sock decoys with the 3d heads, I figure that have a lot of movement in the spread and store easily.

I have never used silosocks. Do you know how they work on windless days. If I had storage problems I would probably work some silhouettes into my spread. Where do you guys that live in doorms store your wet waders...just curious.

Sillosocks aren't bad especially for snow geese but I would prefer silhouettes. I'm probably going to get a few dozen Real-Geese silos and run 1-2 dozen big foot. I have my own apartment so I can't speak for the dorms. That would be a difficult situation to be in. Maybe find a friend who lives off-campus and see if u can hang them up there. If I don't have enough space at my place I'm gunna see if I can keep some decoys at the tree house.

Dr^ke I field hunt geese a good bit too.. I used to leave my waders in my jeep, or hang them in my dorm when I lived there. Now we just hang them off our balcony or in our closet.. Most times the apartment smells like the marsh... Not complaining though.

How do you do for geese? I think for now I'll screw around with them at PSU and see how it goes during the week and if it's not looking good I'll just go home on the weekends to hunt them. If you ever wanna hunt some birds in the Northhampton/ Allentown area shoot me a pm and we can make something happen.

Have fun up there fellas, Its been 4 years since I graduated and there is some good hunting around there when it gets cold. I had to keep a pretty small amount of decoys in my apartment, but I knew a couple guys in the hunting frat and they had trailers so that helped when I hunted with them. I focused mainly on ducks back then, but post graduation and moving to MD, ive moved more towards field hunting geese and getting out on the big water for ducks.
does having multiple screen names on a forum and having a conversation with yourself make you an extra special rock star hunter?

@dallashunter if you guys are hunting Clinton/lycoming county areas get to your field EARLY. Also I would check out the pennsdale area. Lots of fields and I always saw geese in that area when I did gun shows in that area. Good Luck.
