Not sure what to think. I'm glad I can hunt north or south zone pretty easy. Hope I don't miss the push of birds through the north that I got last year in early to mid December . What do you guys think.

It would be nice for another super storm sandy, with that amount of odd ball birds around for a week in early November.. Not wanting a repeat of that storm though.

But I am liking the change, knowing I can hunt basically non stop from oct-jan. I think it could be a good change.

If you're willing to travel to scout and to hunt, you can almost go from Sept 2 thru Feb 28. You just have to be willing to put in the time. While the South is out for a month, I'll travel to Pymie. It's a 100 mile ride, but it's worth it to be able to hunt when it's closed down here.

I like them, I think they did a great job and recognized what the bulk of the state's waterfowlers would benefit from the most.

Correct don, I will throw some goose hunting in there for sure. I look forward to this season, and I can finally start planning dates.

Good luck this year folks!

I like the dates for the NW zone. You can't say the PGC doesn't listen to the average hunter.........

Boy what a cluster in the NW zone. Sure don't like that 13 day split in December. Should have brought it in later and let the season run straight through. Evidently they didn't take my suggestion seriously.

That is great for the hard core waterfowler,it sucks because that only gives me 4 days to archery hunt. Then I will be going north for a week then south for a week then north again then back south. *** no break at all, hope I don't burn out. Going to be burning up some fuel that is for sure. That means ducks are in during the archery rut, that's a first, what to do. Do not know what to think. I guess we will see about this.

Sure you can Don! They ignore the avg hunter on a consistent and perennial basis. I think we just got lucky and they got tired of hearing all the pissing and moaning over poor migrations and overall low bird numbers the last 4 years.
