scouting for geese on shenango lake

Postby H-2-O-FOWL » Fri Jul 22, 2005 8:52 am

I went for a walk to check my favorite goose spot last night . I watched 400 geese land on the water . So this spot is looking good. I have a few others to check yet . But they don't get real hot until the geese get pushed off the lake from over hunting.

Hey, H-2-0: what kind of red tape do you have to go through to hunt Shenango Dam? Don't you have to get permission from the Corps of Engineers, or park rangers even to hunt in the river tributaries off of East Lake Rd? Please let me know - my mouth has watered @ the sight of all of this water. Surely the ducks & geese like it, too.
I'm the guy your Mother Goose warned you about.

No red tape at all. Just need your hunting licences. If you have a boat 16 feet or less you have to wear your livevests. There is a couple places your not allowed to hunt.
