2004-2005 WATERFOWL SEASONS
> DUCKS:
> Lake Erie Zone: Canvasbacks, Dec. 7-Jan. 10. All other ducks, sea ducks, coots and mergansers, Oct. 31-Nov. 26 and Nov. 30-Jan. 10.
>
> North Zone: Canvasbacks, Nov. 28-Dec.31. All other ducks, sea ducks coots and mergansers, Oct. 8-22 and Nov. 8-Dec.31.
>
> Northwest Zone: Canvasbacks, Nov. 12-26 and Dec. 12-30. All other ducks, sea ducks, coots and mergansers, Oct. 8-Nov. 26 and Dec. 12-30.
>
> South Zone: Canvasbacks, Nov. 21-Dec. 24. All other ducks, sea ducks, coots and mergansers, Oct. 8-15 and Nov. 15-Jan. 14.
>
>
> REGULAR CANADA GOOSE SEASON & BAG LIMITS (including WHITE-FRONTED GEESE): All of Pennsylvania will have a regular Canada goose season. However, season lengths and bag limits will vary by area as follows:
>
> Resident Canada Goose Zone (RP)
> All of Pennsylvania except for Crawford, Erie, and Mercer counties and the area east of route SR 97 from Maryland State Line to the intersection of SR 194, east of SR 194 to intersection of US Route 30, south of US Route 30 to SR 441, east of SR 441 to SR 743, east of SR 743 to intersection of I-81, east of I-81 to intersection of I-80, south of I-80 to New Jersey state line. The season is Nov. 15-26, and Dec. 9-Feb. 15, with a 5 goose daily bag limit.

> Southern James Bay Population Zone (SJBP)
> Erie, Mercer and Crawford Counties except for the Pymatuning Zone (The area south of SR 198 from the Ohio state line to intersection of SR 18, SR 18 south to SR 618, SR 618 south to US Route 6, US Route 6 east to US Route 322/SR 18, US Route 322/SR 18 west to intersection of SR 3013, SR 3013 south to the Crawford/Mercer County line.) The season is Nov. 12-Dec 31, with a 2 goose daily bag limit, and Jan. 16-Feb 15, with a 5 goose daily bag limit.

> Pymatuning Zone
> The area south of SR 198 from the Ohio state line to intersection of SR 18, SR 18 south to SR 618, SR 618 south to US Route 6, US Route 6 east to US Route 322/SR 18, US Route 322/SR 18 west to intersection of SR 3013, SR 3013 south to the Crawford/Mercer County line. The season is Nov. 5-26 & Dec 12-29, with a 1 goose daily bag limit.
>
> Atlantic Population Zone (AP)
> The area east of route SR 97 from Maryland State Line to the intersection of SR 194, east of SR 194 to intersection of US Route 30, south of US Route 30 to SR 441, east of SR 441 to SR 743, east of SR 743 to intersection of I-81, east of I-81 to intersection of I-80, south of I-80 to New Jersey state line. The season is Nov. 15-26 and Dec. 14- Jan. 21, with a 3 goose daily limit.

> EARLY CANADA GOOSE SEASON (Statewide) - Sept. 1-24 (8 daily, 16 in possession) Statewide except: No September goose season in that portion of Crawford County south of SR 198 from the Ohio state line to intersection of SR 18, to intersection of US Route 322/SR18, to intersection of SR 3013, south to Crawford/Mercer County line. (NOTE: THIS AREA IS DIFFERENT THAN DESCRIBED IN THE PYMATUNING ZONE FOR THE REGULAR SEASON) and no September Canada goose season on SGL 46, including the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area (both the controlled and public areas are closed).
>
> ATLANTIC BRANT (All Zones): Oct. 15-Nov. 18, 2 daily, 4 in possession.
>
> SNOW GEESE (All Zones): Nov. 7-March 10, 15 daily, no possession limit.
>
>
> 2004-2005 BAG LIMITS - SPECIES OTHER THAN CANADA GEESE
> Ducks:> 6 daily, 12 in possession; daily limit may not include more than 4 mallards including 2 hen mallards, 1 black duck, 1 pintail, 1 mottled duck, 1 fulvous tree duck, 2 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 1 canvasback, 4 scoters and 2 scaup. Possession limit may not include more than 8 mallards including 4 hens, 2 black ducks, 2 pintails, 2 m> ottled ducks, 2 fulvous tree ducks, 4 wood ducks, 4 redheads, 2 canvasbacks, 8 scoters and 4 scaup.
>
> Mergansers: 5 daily not more than 1 hooded merganser, 2 in possession.
>
> Coots: 15 daily, 30 in possession.
>
> HARLEQUIN DUCKS, and TUNDRA and TRUMPETER SWANS: No open season.
>
> Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area: shooting days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, one-half hour before sunrise to 12:30 p.m. Ducks: Oct. 8-Nov. 26, Dec. 12-23 and Dec. 26-28. Geese: Nov. 5-26, Dec. 12-23 and Dec. 26-28. Youth day: Nov. 26.
>
> Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area: shooting days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Shooting hours are one-half hour before sunrise to 1:30 p.m. Geese and ducks: Nov. 15, 17, 19 (youth day), 21, 22, 24, and 26; and Dec. 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31; Jan. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 14. Geese only: Jan. 16, 17, 19 and 21.
>
> YOUTH WATERFOWL HUNTING DAY (Statewide): Saturday, Sept. 24. Open to licensed junior hunters ages 12-15, when properly accompanied, for ducks, mergansers, moorhens and coots, and Canada goose as permitted. Same daily bag limits as regular season. NOTE: Hunting area exceptions for early resident Canada goose season. No Canada goose hunting at Pymatuning or SGL 46 (Middle Creek).
>
> YOUTH-ONLY DAY AT CONTROLLED HUNTING AREAS: Middle Creek is Nov. 19, and Pymatuning is Nov. 26.
>

SPECKS are legal I hope I get a replay of what I saw last season my taxidermist and me will be happy, but I not so sure about the wife she may not want yet another goose mount in her living room.......

Got start filling the vacation calandar today.........
