I can't get into a field around here that the geese use. They all have people that already hunt in them. So I am stuck hunting at shenango lake. But we do pretty good there.

Alternating hunts

Postby h2ofowler84 » Tue Aug 30, 2005 4:32 pm

H2o,
Sorry to hear that you cnat get in the fields. Sounds as though you do OK on the water. Down here we alternate hunts, usually one day on the water and the next day in the fields. I live right on the rivar and my best bud lives on the out skirts of the fields we hunt.. We have it pretty good.
I hope your daughter has agood time. My son will turn 16 next month, I havent seen him this excited about duck and goose hunting since he started hunting.

I will be in a cut oat field with a couple dozen silos and shells dont wanna break out the good dekes to early, well until they get real smart. It is amazind how shotscan do that to resident birds. hahahaha
