Do you need any special permits to duck hunt south shore mgt area. And is it worth it?

You need a permit from Nov goose season on. It is all corn field. I don't think you will be seeing may ducks there yet. You also need a minimum number of decoys, I believe 24. Refer to the RI DEM waterfowl abstract.

You need a permit and have to reserve a field ahead of time durning the Regular goose season. The fields are first come first served for ducks when goose in not in season. No decoy restrictions when goose is closed. They are good hunting for ducks when it raining heavy otherwise a waste of time.
