Wood Duck Eyes

Postby windjammer » Mon Jan 17, 2011 11:14 am

I shot what I am thinking is a pretty strange wood duck today while hunting in the upstate... All wood ducks I have shot in the past and all of my mounts have had red eyes, but today I shot a woody drake that had yellow eyes. The outer ring around the eye was red, but the actual iris itself was yellow. Has anybody shot wood duck drakes that have yellow eyes? Wasnt really noticeable unless you were actually looking for it, but strange none the less.
