New to the site

Postby Santeeteck » Thu Dec 08, 2011 7:37 am

Hello everyone, I wanted to intoduce myself. I am new to this site, but a veteran to duck hunting. I grew up on the wateree and hunted the area for most of my childhood and teenage years. I know the area well and still hunt there a few times a year with some old friends. I live in summerville now and hang around the Santee Cooper area. Yes, there are more idiots here then you can count. Everyone here has a mud motor and expensive calls which I assume makes them a duck hunter... nevermind. I am always looking for another group to hunt with. Typically my son and I hunt together on the cooper river and occasionally on the lakes. My intentions are to meet new, experienced hunters to hunt with. Good luck to all and "Shoot 'em in the Face" as my son always tells me.

Thanks guys, Bigsprig, I see you are from St. Matthews. Do you know if the construction is done at Bates Bridge? I haven't been up there in some time. The last time I was there, getting to the ramp was a pain.

No, they are still working on it. Will be some time before it is finished. Tree huggers sued to stop it from being replaced, wanted all the dirt berms taken out so the river could flow "naturally". But they lost, so now new one is being built beside the old one.
