got drawn to Murphy island this year and was wondering what to expect?

1- be there early- you have a check in, briefing, then a long boat ride to the island.
2- pack light- you may be walking a ways down a levee to get to your boat/blind
3- headlamp is a big help
4- lightweight walking stick (old ski pole) will keep you from using your shotgun when you get stuck in muck
5- great place, listen to the recommendations of the guys putting you out whether to stay in the blind, or spread out into the impoundment
4- have fun

Save your shells!!! They only let you take a box(25rds)... Teal and woodies thick and stupid at LST..wait em out the Pintails redheads maooards gadwall and ringnecks will be in behind em especially if theres not lots if gunfire coming from yall..We waited til 730 til we shot last season bout this time and brought back all drake pintails wigeon mallards and redheads...We passed on the first flights..DNR wasnt really happy when we told em we waited em out and picked our shots..They want numbers...Quality is what yall are there for...
