Morning Hunt

Had to work hard for two wood ducks this morning on public land...

That's how it is. Especially in the myrtle beach area on the river.

Yeah, no doubt. Had exactly three come within reasonable distance. Should've had the third bird.

I do enjoy a wood duck hunt about as much as anything else though.

i had to work harder than most for one wood duck this am. this is how it goes. get the boat backed down. motor wont start. oh well we are already awake we will paddle a little ways down. get about 500 yds from landing. go to put up blind....it breaks.....throw out a few deeks.... sky blast the only woody half way in rannge. falls dead 100 yds from the boat in grass up to my chest. look for it for one hour. then paddle back 500 yds against the current. welcome to my world. :fingerhead:

That's sounds about like everytime I head out this year. Always something.
