Hunting around Charleston

Postby Webfoot12 » Fri Apr 28, 2006 7:43 am

Hey fellas,
My good budy just took a job in Charleston and he mentioned hunting some of the inter-costal waterways. I was wondering if anyone has info on places to go. I'm not trying to find someones secret spot, but rather a place to get out and have a little success. It sounds a lot different from the marsh hunting I'm used too.

He just graduated from grad school and has not had much time to hunt and I'm planning on visiting this fall. We would like to put something together.

My other question deals with the environment. Can you use any aluminum boat on these waterways or do you need some special boat especially for salt or brackish water. Or do you want to make sure and wash off your boat when you are done. I have a Tracker Grizzley. Is that something that would work. He's thinking of getting a boat too. Any recommendations would be great.

Sorry for the lenthy note and thanks for your replies,

Michael
