Is anybody killin any ducks out on lake greenwood?

Their either gone or eating and hanging out in places that you cant hunt. :thumbsdown:

ive got a friend that has hunted there for 3 years and use to do good but he said last sat was his last time for a long time. he said there aint nothing there.be carefull where u hunt some one has been pouring out corn and dnr is wrighting tickets left and right.

greenwood was good to me in the first season, but after that saw nothin but some cracker fed tamies

Going to greenwood would be a waste of time personally. All that's hanging out around there are some coots or the occasional greenhead by the boat launch. The DNR are just too dang aggravating out there. Seems they only check you at shooting light, when u finally see that one duck. Haven't understood this yet, because it's the only place that occurs to me. Just check hunters at boat ramps or cutting across the lake. Not while they're hunting.

my dad got a ticket last year for hunting over bait but he didnt do it another guy did. dnr is getting bad about giving tickets. watch were you hunt? :rolleyes:

big dummy he should have!!!!!!! people like him is who gives the one trying to do it right a problem. dont tell me he couldnt see any bait or didnt know the other guy was doing it!!! dnr is doing the right thing.

yeah, just about any public area is going to have baiting on it somewhere. someone is going to do it, but it is up to you to do some scouting before hand to make sure u don't get fined.

Well thx for the info guys we just didnt wanna waste our time going all the way out there. we hunted our club the last two days which is about 6 mile from lake greenwood and saw more ducks than I have all year. Killed some black ducks and some mallards.

anybody hunt lake greenwood during the early season? Been thinking about heading up that way to do some scouting and give it a try.
